Bennett Solomon

Greetings! My name is Bennett Solomon, and I’m a junior studying journalism with a specialization in Sports and Media at the University of Florida. Currently, I’m a sports coordinator for ESPN Gainesville and I’m the president of the Sports Media Society on campus.

I am super excited to participate in this immersion experience, as I grew up playing the game of baseball. I remember my first at-bat when I was five years old, and I also remember my last competitive at bat in high school. Baseball is a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to cover it throughout the week.

Growing up in Bethesda, Maryland, I am a huge Washington Nationals fan and I’m lucky enough to get to attend their games during the week. This will be my first time attending Spring Training games and I’m thrilled to be able put forth my skills to something I’d love to do as a profession in the future.
