The Pittsburgh Pirates Celebrate 100 Years of Baseball in Bradenton

Last Friday, the Pittsburgh Pirates celebrated their 55th season and 100th year of baseball in Bradenton, Florida. On March 17th, I went down to Lecom park, where the Pirates host their Spring Training games in the Grapefruit League, also home to the organization’s Single-A baseball team, the Bradenton Marauders. I was fortunate enough to speak with Jim Trdinich, the Pirates Historian, on what it means to celebrate such a milestone for the MLB and Pittsburgh.
