Want something to remember your spring training experience by? Whether you’re a Twins fan or not, Hammond Stadium has merchandise to symbolize the memories made inside and outside of the foul lines. There are three gear shops total. The first one to meet a visitor’s eye is right next to the ticket booth on the exterior of the stadium. This one is two stories tall; the second floor entrance and exit is located on the main concourse. The other two gear shops are located along the right and left field lines, at each end of the boardwalk that ranges from foul pole to foul pole.
A No-Brainer
It’s important to be prepared for the strength of the Fort Myers sun. Thankfully, visitors have a variety of baseball caps to choose from. The options vary in color. Red, blue, black, white, tan and pink are a few of the most common choices. There are sizes for every fan’s noggin, and there are hats designed for males, females and kids. The price of the specialized spring training caps range from $35 to $45, with all kids fits sitting at $28. Pictured below is University of Florida student Bryce Mitchell. Mitchell graciously modeled the variations of caps.
What Else?
Not a hat person? Still want a souvenir? The gear shop has got you covered. Other than hats, there are T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, lanyards, towels and keychains up for sale. All of the items come in specific cuts for men and women. The women’s apparel branches to shorts and leggings as well. At the entrance of each gear shop is a sunscreen station, where fans have the ability to protect themselves from Fort Myers sun with or without a baseball cap.
Next Chance
The Minnesota Twins tied the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-2 Tuesday afternoon. Fans got the opportunity to embrace their hat swag on the especially sunny day in Fort Myers. The next chance to purchase merchandise at one of the three gear shops at Hammond Stadium is Thursday, March 17 when the Twins play the Rays.
