Rhiannon Thomas is a junior from Chicago, Illinois. She is pursuing a degree in journalism with a specialization in sports and media at the University of Florida. Passionate about storytelling and sports coverage, Rhiannon is currently an anchor for Sports in 60 with WUFT News, where she delivers concise, engaging sports updates to viewers.

During the Fall 2024 semester, Rhiannon expanded her reporting experience through an internship with The Irish Sun in Dublin, Ireland. There, she had the opportunity to publish a diverse range of stories, covering topics from breaking news and investigative journalism to fashion trends and in-depth sports analysis. This international experience strengthened her adaptability as a journalist and deepened her understanding of global media landscapes.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys watching sports as a fan. In her free time, she likes to cook, scroll on social media and cheer for the Florida Gators.
