Scarlling Manzanarez is a senior at the University of Florida, majoring in journalism with a specialization in sports and media. She is currently the social media coordinator for Sports@CJC, the College of Journalism and Communications' sports journalism program. She is the Social Media Manager for the CJCxARZ spring training experience, as well as a social media contributor for ESPN Gainesville. When she is not producing sports content on social media, you will find her rooting for her favorite baseball teams.

In 2024, she covered the MLB All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas, with Bleacher Report. The experience of interviewing players she once watched on TV as a little girl was a reminder that she belongs in sports.

Baseball has changed her life. What started as a family tradition in Nicaragua has become her inspiration to tell the stories of many Latino players who dream of making it to the majors.

She hopes to be one of them one day.
